On Thursday, December 18, 2025, Velvet CARE inaugurated a new state-of-the-art paper machine at its Klucze plant.
The new Valmet Advantage DCT 200 tissue machine is 5.6 meters wide, with a design speed of 2,200 m/min and an annual production capacity of 70,000 tons. Equipped with advanced ViscoNip press technology, the machine contributes to a production capacity increase of over 40%.
With this latest addition, the Klucze factory—now operating four production machines—is capable of producing over 210,000 tons of tissue paper annually. These machines supply raw material to the converting department, where toilet paper, paper towels, and hygienic tissues—both dry and wet—are manufactured.
The paper machine building was constructed under the supervision and coordination of Velvet CARE, while the installation of the machine - just as with the previous ones - was carried out by ENKI.
Its construction required as much as 1,320 tons of steel and over 15,000 m³ of concrete. A single reel weighing 4.5 tons can hold up to 120 kilometers of tissue paper.
“For 13 years, Velvet CARE has been systematically investing in the future. The commissioning of this new production machine is another step in the company’s continued development,” said Artur Pielak, President of the Management Board.
“It is our response to the growing market demand for high-quality tissue paper and premium everyday hygiene paper products. We are strengthening our position as a market leader - made possible by the ambition and professionalism of the team at the Klucze plant. On this special day, we extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to Velvet CARE employees and our business partners.”
The new paper machine built at the Klucze facility meets the highest environmental and quality standards. It is currently the most advanced, proven operational technology, ensuring high productivity with relatively low consumption of utilities such as gas, water, and electricity.
The project was implemented within a special economic zone - the Kraków Technology Park - with the participation of a consortium of renowned financial institutions.
