A. Celli Group and Softbond Nonwovens continue their long-standing collaboration, now spanning three decades, with a new installation at Softbond’s Buenos Aires facility. The company has selected A.Celli Group to supply a complete winding, rewinding, and packaging solution for the new spunlaid production line.
The comprehensive solution includes A.Celli’s E-WIND® STREAM PLUS winder, the E-WIND® SUPER RAPID slitter rewinder with automatic shaft handling, and an R-WAY® automatic packaging line, including reel transfer, sorting, up-ending, and wrapping systems. These advanced technologies are designed to optimize efficiency and product quality as Softbond responds to increasing demand in the hygiene and medical sectors.
The new line, dedicated to hygienic and medical applications, is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2025.
“Our collaboration with A.Celli dates back to 1996, reflecting a long-standing and trusted partnership,” said Alessio Romanelli of Softbond. “Once again, we have found in them a reliable and forward-thinking ally. This installation marks a key milestone in Softbond’s strategic plan, enabling us to increase output and strengthen our presence in Argentina and across South America, while more effectively meeting the growing demand in the hygiene and medical sectors.”
Founded in 1996, Softbond Nonwovens is a family-run company specializing in spunmelt, spunbond, and meltblown nonwovens. With multiple production lines, the company serves the hygiene, medical, femcare, and industrial markets throughout Argentina and the broader South American region.
