Trützschler Nonwovens has been awarded a major project by SpunLeks LLC. Located in Uzbekistan’s Syrdarya region—the heart of the country’s cotton cultivation— SpunLeks is taking a strategic step toward the future.

 

By leveraging Trützschler Nonwovens’ advanced technology, SpunLeks will be able to convert cotton and man-made fibers into premium nonwoven materials designed for high-quality baby and personal care wipes.

 

Trützschler Nonwovens versatile solution offers: 

- Advanced fiber processing with T-BLEND fiber preparation equipment and a customized NCR random card

- Versatile nonwoven production with a powerful AquaJet spunlacing unit and an energy-efficient multi-drum dryer for plain, structured, and perforated nonwovens 

 

Spunleks' new hydroentangling line excels at processing virgin cotton fibers, cotton/comber noil blends with up to 40% short fibers as well as polyester and viscose fibers for diverse wipes applications. 

 

Installation is on the way, with commercial production launching in 2026.
