Zain Paper Industry has initiated the second phase of its tissue production park in Doha, Qatar, by installing two new complete tissue production lines (TM3 and TM4) supplied by Overmade. This follows the successful completion of the first phase, which also included two identical tissue lines.

 

Key details of the project include:

 

- Turn-key supply by Overmade, covering all aspects from virgin pulper to the wrapping line.

- Each of the four lines will produce 30,000 TPD of high-quality facial tissue using softwood and hardwood virgin fibers.

- Advanced features such as a water treatment plant, fiber recovery plant, and an advanced double dilution system.

- The OVER CR C20 machines, which have a speed of 2,000 MPM with a reel trim of 2,750 mm, are designed to produce the softest facial tissue. These machines utilize the DYNAFLO-C headbox on the OVER FORMER CR, ensuring optimal fiber distribution at high consistency and reducing the need for softwood in the paper.

- Each line includes technological solutions for energy-saving tissue production, such as a high-efficiency hood and a steam system with an economizer.

 

The project is entirely managed by Elie Wanna, CEO of Zain Paper Industry, said: “We are proud to announce the Zain Paper Industry tissue park project in Qatar – an important investment that is located on a plot of land exceeding 123,000 m2, which has been and will be developed in multiple phases. Parallelly we are announcing the already programmed phase 3 with the supply of two extra tissue lines TM5 and TM6 equal to the 4 already implemented.” Wanna added: “Having multiple equal lines, we dedicate each line for a single product. Production changes will be minimised to achieve the highest level of efficiency and productivity, while saving in the spare parts and consumable management.
