Hangzhou Haoyue Personal Care, a global leader in high-end absorbent hygiene products, has officially announced the completion of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Egypt. The move signals a strategic shift to bypass international shipping logistics and localize production for the Middle East and Africa.

The new facility, located strategically within the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), serves as Haoyue’s primary "export gateway" to the Mediterranean and African markets. By manufacturing locally, Haoyue eliminates the 4–6 week lead time previously required for shipments from China and benefits from Egypt’s extensive network of free trade agreements. This will enable lower landed‑cost products for both Egyptian consumers and regional retail partners. The plant is also framed as a way to support “Made in Egypt” positioning, appealing to local preferences for domestically produced goods that still meet global specifications.

The facility focuses on baby diapers and related hygiene products, with the company emphasizing “freshly produced” local supply as a key differentiator versus imported Chinese‑made goods. Recognizing the unique environmental demands of the Egyptian market, Haoyue is launching products specifically engineered for the regional climate:

• The Hope Baby Series: Their flagship diaper line features a Microporous Backsheet designed to release heat and moisture—a direct response to "diaper rash" concerns common in high-temperature regions like Cairo and Alexandria.
• Expansion of "Pants" Culture: The plant is heavily prioritized for Baby Training Pants (pull-ups). Haoyue’s data indicates a rapid shift in Egyptian consumer behavior toward pull-ups as the middle class grows and seeks convenience.
• Sustainability Milestone: In line with Egypt’s Vision 2030, the plant will produce biodegradable and flushable wipes made from plant-based fibers, reducing the plastic footprint in local urban waste systems.

The Egypt project forms part of a broader international footprint push by Haoyue Nursing, which has previously announced overseas acquisitions and forays, including the purchase of Dawang Paper’s GOO.N diaper‑production business in China in 2025. The new Egyptian base complements existing export‑oriented capacity in China and the company’s trading network across Europe, the Americas and Asia, reinforcing Haoyue’s push into branded and OEM‑driven hygiene‑care markets in emerging‑economy regions.
